Doorfit Welcomes the ASSA dp lock system!

Continuing our reputation for remaining at the cutting edge of a developing industry, Doorfit are proud to announce our appointment as distributors of ASSA’s revolutionary new dp lock system. With over 15 years as ASSA dealers, Doorfit have developed a good relationship with the Assa Abloy group, and have made a considerable investment in the key cutting technology required to supply the dp range.

A global industry leader in the locks and security sector, ASSA have been developing and manufacturing innovative products since the 1930s, forming the international group ASSA ABLOY in the mid-1990s – a company that now boasts over 42,000 employees worldwide.

ASSA describe the concept behind their dp range as producing “convenient, high security mechanical and electromechanical lock systems”, and that’s exactly what both the dp 4400 and dp 2400 provide. The system provides businesses with the perfect balance between security against intruders obtaining lost or stolen keys, and allowing genuine users to get hold of spare keys when needed.

It does this by providing a highly flexible type of master key, allowing different security levels within one single lock system. With over 48 billion possible active combinations (according to EN 1303, grade 6), individual areas within your premises can be protected to various security levels without the need for different lock and key systems for each door or entranceway.

Not only does this make your security system more economical, it also ensures that only those who require it are granted access to specific areas. The whole system can be controlled by an external IT setup, accessed only by an ASSA-accredited reseller such as Doorfit. The reseller is connected to a central ASSA network that provides encrypted codes for the machines manufacturing the keys, with the codes stored at ASSA for extra security. This allows you to alter and revamp your access system whenever needed without the need for changing all of your physical locks, as well as track when new keys are produced and distributed.

The software used in this IT system has been specially designed by ASSA engineers to offer complete usability and convenience, and the dp technology has been utilised by many high security businesses across the globe, including airports, universities, science laboratories and more.

The team at Doorfit are on hand to answer any queries you may have about the dp technology, as well as the entire ASSA range. We can work with you to design a lock and security system tailored to the needs of your premises, with different access permissions granted for different areas.
